Return & Refund Policy

1. Return window

You may return any item purchased on Cape Water Tech within 30 calendar days from the delivery date. We do not count the return window from the purchase date — it’s based on delivery, as required by Google Merchant Center.

2. Condition of returns

To be eligible, items must be in exactly the same condition as received:

  • Unused and unworn.
  • In its original packaging (including boxes, poly bags, inserts).
  • Tags (if applicable) must still be attached.
  • Packing slip or order invoice inside the box.

Items returned in unsellable condition (dirty, worn, damaged due to customer misuse, missing parts) may be rejected or subject to a partial refund.

3. Non‑returnable items

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Final sale items (marked clearly at checkout)
  • Perishable goods & personalized items (where applicable)

4. Defective, damaged or incorrect items

If you receive a defective, damaged, or wrong item, we cover return shipping. Contact us immediately at onlineshop@capewatertech.capetown with your order number and photo of the defect/damage. We will provide a prepaid shipping label. You can choose either a full refund or a replacement.

5. How to initiate a return

  1. Log in to your account on https://www.shop.capewatertech.capetown → "My Orders", OR email onlineshop@capewatertech.capetown with your order number.
  2. Pack the item securely in original packaging.
  3. Attach the provided return label (if applicable).
  4. Drop off at the carrier location specified on the label.

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll email you the approval status.

  • Approved → refund is credited to your original method of payment (credit card, PayPal, etc.).
  • Timing → allow 5–7 business days to appear in your statement, depending on your bank.

7. Return shipping costs:

🔄 Remorse / change of mind Customer pays return shipping. Shipping fees are non‑refundable. We recommend insured/tracked service.
⚠️ Defective / damaged / wrong item We provide a free prepaid label and cover all return shipping costs.
